Kids Are First Preschool, Kindergarten and Summer Camp

December, 2016 Newsletter

This month we will turn our hallways into a winter wonderland. Christmas trees and things that sparkle will be all around our school. Ornaments made from applesauce, cinnamon and pinecones are some of our favorite things to make. I will be sending home a snowman for you to decorate with your child. Please return by Dec. 9th.
We are looking for plastic laundry caps for a Christmas craft. If you have any please give them to Mrs. Schmidt. Thank you!
Have a wonderful holiday!
Mrs. Schmidt

We will focus on the letters K, L, and M with activities involving kites, keys, kings, lights, lacing, lambs, lions, monkeys, marbles, and marshmallows. We will also discover why it is truly the season to be jolly! We will enjoy many wonderful holiday stories and related activities involving magic keys, Kris Kringle, latkes, Christmas lights and mistletoe.
May we all experience the joy of the season through the children's eyes!
Merry Christmas !
Mrs. Moser

This month we will be having a ton of holiday fun. We will be dancing like the elves, having candy cane relays, helping Rudolph find his nose and looking for the pickle on our holiday tree We will also be spreading some holiday cheer while we carol around the school.
Ho, Ho, Ho!
Mrs. Martinelli

December will be filled with lots of Christmas fun! We will begin our month with the story of the Gingerbread Man. We will make gingerbread play-doh and slime and we will put our cookies in number order. Our Festive month continues with cooking yummy treats and creating different shaped Christmas trees. Finally, we will make reindeer food, so Santa can find our houses on Christmas Eve!!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Letters to Santa

This year we will be starting a new tradition to help make the holiday season as magical as possible. Outside the Art room you will find a mailbox that happens to have a direct line to the North Pole. Please feel free to help your child write a letter or color a picture for Santa and place it in the box. We cant wait to see the joy on their faces when their letters are answered.
