Kids Are First Preschool, Kindergarten and Summer Camp

October, 2017 Newsletter

October is a spooky month. This month we will be making bats, spiders, witches and ghosts. Keep your eye open for the spooky spider hanging out in the art room. Beware our hallways will be filled with some scary projects. If you have any paper towel rolls, toilet paper rolls or egg cartons please feel free to donate so we can recycle them into fun projects.
Have a Happy Halloween,
Mrs. Schmidt

As we fall into October we will take a look at the letters E, F, and G. That means tales of elephants, eagles, eggs, feet, frogs, feathers, green, goats, glitter, and much more. Anticipations of Halloween will provide us the enjoyment of many fun and not-too-spooky books, songs, and poems. We will have our first Show ‘N Tell of the year on Monday, Oct. 30th and Tuesday, Oct. 31st. The theme will be anything related to Fall or Halloween.
Have a Happy Halloween,
Mrs. Moser

This month we will be having some ghoulish adventures. We will be going on a Halloween Parade, doing pumpkin patch relays, playing Halloween tag, and flying away on our witch’s brooms. Get your dancing shoes ready for our Monster Mash dance party.
Mrs. Martinelli

The first week of October is fire safety week. We will be learning how to stay safe in the event of a fire. The rest of the month will be filled with pumpkin activities. Our little scientists will explore the inside of a pumpkin, count the seeds and even make pumpkin ice cream. We will also enjoy all the beautiful fall colors with leaf collecting, sorting and nature walks.
Happy Halloween!

The fire truck will be visiting Monday Oct. 16th from 9:00-10:00am. If your child is not here that day, this invitation extends to your child as well. We simply ask that you accompany your child to see the fire truck.  Thank you!
